Missouri Department of Revenue Sells Citizen Addresses

Donna Osborn edits the Christian County Headliner. Recently she started a blog called "The News Muse" where she escapes the usual print format and gives poetic justice to the stories she authors. Osborn wrote a story about the Department of Revenue Head Trish Vincent challenging the policies of the departments privatization and commercialization policies.
According to the article, the state of Missouri is in violation of law by allowing Imagitas, a private company, to purchase addresses for direct marketing campaigns.
Osborn holds the move violated the federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act in her blogpost "Vincent-not e-mail by junk mail.".
